The Artist Teddy Bear Museum was
completed June of 2005 for Clarion’s fourth Teddy Bear Reunion in the
Heartland Celebration. We are currently the only teddy bear museum within
the United States. All the bears on display are hand crafted by artists from
around the world.
The story is told of how the
teddy bear craze started with Theodore Roosevelt and has continued on for
more than 100 years. Several showcases contain individual vignettes made
especially for the 2005 grand opening. Many Boyds bears as well as the
history of the Boyds Company are also a part of this display. New artist
bears arrive throughout the year so our displays are constantly changing.
